Branch General Manager  

Headline: Nationwide Industrial MRO Distributor is seeking an experienced Branch General Manager to lead and oversee the full operation of a newly acquired branch/territory in Troy, NY. The role carries P&L accountability for the branch and entails driving sales strategy and execution, overseeing warehouse and customer service, and driving overall profitability of the branch.    

High level of autonomy to own and grow a branch and team while participating in an uncapped profit-sharing incentive plan tied to branch performance.

About Us: Fix Supply is a broadline distributor of Industrial MRO products offering high-quality industrial supplies and services to a broad range of customers across the US. We offer a “one-stop shop” experience for customers through our broad assortment of over 150,000 industrial MRO products ranging from raw materials to fasteners to lubricants to power transmission.  

While we primarily go-to-market via our e-commerce presence at fixsupply.com, we’re seeking to grow our in-person localized branch presence — sales, service, and fulfillment — in a number of select geographies.     

About the Role: The Branch General Manager owns full P&L responsibility for the branch, leading a team of 5-10 local employees across sales, warehouse, and customer service. The role is broad and dynamic — it spans driving sales performance for the territory; ensuring timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction; and owning resolution of customer and employee issues as they arise. The Branch General Manager represents Fix Supply across the territory and will be supported by certain centralized corporate functions such as accounting and marketing.   

Responsibilities:  

1. Branch P&L Ownership 
   • Own full P&L for the branch.  
   • Monitor monthly financial performance against budget/targets and balance investment in growth with expense discipline to hit profit targets.  
2. Team Leadership & Talent Management  
   • Hire, train, coach, and manage performance across all branch functions — outside sales, inside sales/customer service, and warehouse/operations staff.   
   • Build a culture of accountability, engagement, and growth; model Fix Supply core values.  
3. Sales Strategy & Business Development  
   • Work with Fix Supply leadership to refine the existing Sales Playbook to the specifics of the territory i.e. who to sell to, what to sell, when to sell, how to sell  
   • Gather local market intelligence from customers, competitors, industry and communicate insights and adjust Sales Playbook as necessary.  
4. Account Management & Customer Service  
   • Serve as the primary point of contact for key customer requests and collaborate with other functional teams to route the customer requests to the right place. 
   • Own customer success and continuously look for opportunities to deliver additional value to customer accounts. 
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration  
   • Work closely with local outside sales reps, inside sales reps, customer service, and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment. 
   • Coordinate with Corporate teams like purchasing, marketing, and accounting to align on local strategy for the branch  
6. Warehouse & Operations Management  
   • Work with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure smooth warehouse operations, including inventory accuracy, receiving, picking/packing, and on-time order fulfillment. 

Requirements:

• Previous general management or sales management experience in an industrial distribution, MRO, or a related B2B distribution environment; existing knowledge of a Fix Supply product category (e.g. Power Transmission, Fasteners, Electrical, etc.) is a plus  
• Previous experience managing a multi-function team (sales, warehouse, and/or customer service)  
• Fluent in prospecting and sales techniques and methods. Demonstrated entrepreneurship and creativity in sales process – a “go-getter” to close the deal.  
• Ability to travel frequently within the geographic territory.
