Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse Des Moines, Iowa. This position involves providing acute care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering quality patient care across various patient populations, including behavioral health, pediatrics, and adults, while adhering to established clinical protocols and safety standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Iowa or compact/multistate nursing license; 36 months of current Emergency Department (ED) or Emergency Room (ER) experience; experience caring for pediatrics and adults; experience with drips including sedations and vasoactive medications; experience reading, measuring, and interpreting Telemetry strips; active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course); BLS (Basic Life Support); ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support); EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred; work history demonstrating at least 36 months in ED/ER; skills checklist specific to emergency care discipline; drivers license required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with behavioral health patients; experience floating across multiple campuses; documentation of professional references from supervisors or nurses within the last 24 months.
• Additional Information: Must be available to work 1-2 of the upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed. Orientation date is scheduled for 08/17/2026.
