E&I Specialist/E&I Specialist Sr.

Position Overview Boardwalk Pipelines, LP is a limited partnership operating in the midstream portion of the natural gas and natural gas liquids industry, providing transportation and storage services for our customers. Our 14,000 miles of pipeline and storage assets provide diverse market connectivity to producers and end-users who need reliable sources of natural gas for power generation, home heating or petrochemical feedstocks. We have the experience, knowledge, and flexibility to design service offerings and create system enhancements tailored to our customers’ needs throughout the 13 states in which we operate. We are currently looking for an E&I Specialist / Sr E&I Specialist for our Montz, LA office. Must live within 30 miles of the Montz Compressor Station to respond to callouts expediently. This position is responsible for the testing and maintenance of the instrument and electrical equipment of reciprocating engines and compressors, gas fired turbines and compressors, auxiliary equipment, and other related Gulf South assets. It requires compliance with DOT, OSHA and Environmental rules, occasional unscheduled or emergency work, maintenance of all tools and equipment, advocacy of safe work practices, and leadership on projects. The role also encompasses environmental, health, safety, and reliability responsibilities for natural gas transmission, accident and near miss reporting, regulatory compliance, and repairs. The employee will lead projects, make decisions about equipment and repairs, and participate in the area on‑call duties and after‑hour callouts. Leadership and interpersonal skills are essential, as is completion of all specified Operator Qualification tasks. The primary area of responsibility will be at the Montz Compressor Station, with normal hours 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday – Friday, subject to occasional after‑hours and off‑day callouts. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Instrument and Electrical maintenance experience Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of personnel, strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, and ability to prioritize and schedule multiple projects; proficiency with Microsoft programs and ability to read, comprehend, and follow company procedures and manufacturer guidelines. Physical capability to lift and carry 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet to transfer tools and equipment; ability to operate valve control wheels with a minimum of 50 turns; ability to work alone in extreme weather conditions including hot, cold, muddy, and wet environments. Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate an all‑terrain vehicle. Strong commitment to personal and team safety.
