We're seeking a dedicated professional to partner with a district in the Hayward area, working full-time on a contract basis. Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist credential/certification (required)
- Previous experience working in school-based settings
- Strong background in conducting student assessments and counseling
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling services to students, supporting social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ needs and eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in crisis intervention and prevention programs
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to district and legal requirements
- Participate in meetings and professional development as needed throughout the school year
