Overview
Registered Nurse – Acute Care (Emergency Department) in Geneva, NY, starting 07/06/2026 for 14 weeks. Weekly pay is $1,244–$1,277 per week with 0 guaranteed hours. Shift is 2x12 rotating, and the setting is a Short Term Acute Care Hospital on a Travel - Temporary Assignment.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct emergency department nursing care for patients of all ages, including assessment, triage, treatment, and discharge planning.
- Perform primary and secondary assessments, identify urgent priorities using triage standards, establish care priorities, and communicate updates to patients and families.
- Administer medications and carry out invasive and non-invasive procedures as appropriate; monitor patient responses and escalate as needed during life-threatening emergencies.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, delegate tasks within scope, and uphold infection prevention and patient safety practices.
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-emergency care; prepare for diagnostic procedures and coordinate referrals for follow-up care.

Requirements
- Active New York State RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI)
- Minimum two years of acute hospital RN experience, including at least one year in an ED setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment, handle high-acuity situations, and participate in a rotating day/night schedule with on-call responsibilities and every-other-weekend/holiday coverage
