Groundsman Position
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Groundsman to support our tree care operations. This position is crucial to the success of the crew, assisting with ground-level tasks, equipment handling, and job site cleanup. The Grounds Person plays a key role in ensuring safety and efficiency on every job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist climbers and crew leaders by preparing and staging tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Operate equipment such as chainsaws, woodchippers, and stump grinders.
- Safely manage ropes and rigging during tree removal and pruning operations.
- Clear and dispose of brush, logs, and debris from job sites.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on tools and equipment.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area in compliance with ANSI and OSHA standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in tree care, landscaping, or outdoor labor (preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and work in varying outdoor conditions.
- Familiarity with power tools and basic mechanical knowledge (preferred).
- Strong commitment to safety and following instructions.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Dependable, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn.
