Scope of Project

NYS DOL support in a multi-vendor, multi-protocol complex network/systems environments. Primary point of contact for zOS Operating Systems

Responsibilities:

• Perform problem determination and resolution

• Participate in Disaster Recovery tests

• Participate in On-call rotation

• Perform Security Healthchecking

• Participate in Audits.

• Participate and as required manage activities related to the installation, customization and management of the zOS operating system.

• Coordinate activities with support staff to ensure appropriate support is provided.

• Proactively monitor networks working with the Enterprise Network teams and developers to identify, manage and correct issues.

• Work independently to diagnose and correct problems as they arise within the system.

• Mentor state staff.

• Monitor CICS regions.

Required Skills:

• 84 Months experience maintaining and administering a multi-region CICS plex.
• 84 Months Experience performing problem diagnostics and resolution in a z/OS environment
• 84 Months Experience fine tuning z/OS performance parameters
• 84 Months experience analyzing z/OS abend dumps
• 12 months experience with RACF security administration
• 72 Months experience omegamon use
• 24 Months Experience maintaining and operating MQ subsystems
