Picture your day: you start with a safety walk-through and log your inspection findings. A conveyor shows signs of wear — you diagnose, pull the guards, swap bearings, and realign a motor to spec using precision tools. After lunch, you rebuild a gearbox, check lubrication systems, and assist with a compressor repair. Before clocking out, you tidy the bay and confirm the area is hazard-free. What you’ll handle
Perform required safety inspections every shift
Service and repair pumps, motors, mills, piping, conveyors, and related plant equipment
Install bearings; rebuild gearboxes, compressors, and other machinery
Complete precision alignments and use precision measuring instruments
Maintain and troubleshoot lubrication systems
Operate mobile equipment safely once MSHA-approved training is completed
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas
What you bring
Hands-on experience with conveyors, pumps, compressors, fans, and other industrial mechanical systems
ARC welding capability
Strong mechanical aptitude with solid troubleshooting skills
Dependable attendance and a deep commitment to safety
Ability to work independently while following written and verbal instructions
Comfort lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a physically demanding setting
Qualifications
2+ years of industrial experience
High school diploma or equivalent
