Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantSalary Range: $50K - $55K DOE | In-office position located in Las Vegas, NV. No remote options.The Staff Accountant will play a key role in our growing accounting team ensuring proper accounting for revenue and cost recognition, daily/monthly reconciliations, and multi-company consolidation.ResponsibilitiesTake lead in development and implementation of general accounting processes, general research and proper accounting for recognition of revenues and expensesWork in collaboration with the treasury team, perform bank reconciliations to ensure outstanding items are researched and recorded timely and accuratelyAssist in developing and analyzing information by developing reports and providing recommendationsAssist operational personnel with system education, general ledger account use, disbursements and account research as neededProvide accounting support for preparing financial statements, statement consolidation and additional analysis as requiredPrepare monthly journal entries as neededAssist the Controller in developing and implementing financial discipline, expense control and optimizationDocument current processes, define gaps and recommend standardized processesAssist with ad-hoc projects, additional duties as directedQualificationsSelf-starter, motivated by results, problem solver, team playerAutomotive industry GAAP knowledge strongly desiredStrong communication skills a mustProficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)Automotive accounting systems a plusAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP, Sum If, and Pivot tables desiredMS Dynamics experience a plusComfortable with operating multiple application systemsDemonstrated success building consensus and working in team environmentAbility to complete multiple projects on time with varying timelines and prioritiesSwickard Auto Group is a rapidly expanding retail automotive group with a focus on providing our customers first-class hospitality.
