Details Work in the MS/Tele unit of a teaching hospital Surgical orthopedic patient population with a 1:5 patient ratio Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Uses Philips Telemetry monitoring system and Cerner charting system Floating required to other UCSF facilities within a 75 mile radius if job specifications are met Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of submission BSN required AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required Prior charge nurse experience required Teaching hospital and community hospital experience required and noted in employment history Trauma Level I and Level II experience required Experience with Philips Telemetry monitoring system required Cerner charting system experience required Prior travel assignment within the last 12 months required 2 professional references from most recent employer required for consideration Preferred: Orthopedic experience, acute care nursing experience, PCRN or CCRN certification, critical care experience, LTAC experience, and prior teaching hospital experience Additional Information Provide direct patient care for surgical orthopedic and telemetry patients, including monitoring, medication administration, and wound care Skills may include IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, chemotherapy administration/monitoring, respiratory care, ostomy and feeding tube management, and cardiac monitoring/dysrhythmia management Participates in isolation precautions and PPE protocols as part of standard care practices COVID vaccination and booster required, with proof or confirmation needed prior to start Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility verification All requested RTO must be disclosed at time of submission and approved by the manager prior to start; no RTO allowed within the first two weeks of the assignment, and no additional requests accepted mid-contract Completion of annual UC Learning modules required during pre-start and throughout assignment American Traveler Job ID P-771216.
