Role Description The Assistant Director of Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in the Lincoln, Nebraska Metropolitan Area. This role supports the daily operational management of the school, including scheduling, classroom coverage, and coordination of programs to ensure a smooth and consistent experience for children and families. The Assistant Director of Operations helps oversee staff workflows, supports hiring and onboarding processes, and assists with training to maintain high standards of care and education. This position monitors operational performance, helps manage budgets and resource allocation, and works closely with the Director to ensure compliance with school policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures. The role also involves direct interaction with families, addressing questions or concerns, supporting enrollment processes, and promoting a welcoming and professional school environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including experience coordinating daily workflows and school or childcare operations.
• Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, monitor performance, and support decision-making for process improvements.
• Candidates should possess effective Team Management capabilities, including staff supervision, coaching, and fostering a collaborative culture.
• Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to assist with financial planning, cost control, and resource management.
• Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills to build positive relationships with families, children, and staff.
• Relevant experience in early childhood education, school administration, or childcare operations is highly beneficial.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree in education, business administration, or a related field, and familiarity with licensing or regulatory requirements for early childhood programs.
