Job Description

Our client is a defense engineering and software development company that supports Department of the Navy modernization programs, specializing in systems integration, software engineering, and mission-critical solutions for the AEGIS Combat System. They are seeking a Software Engineer to join their tea, supporting the development and maintenance of the AEGIS Display Subsystem (ADS).


The Software Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing source code and functionality within the AEGIS Display Subsystem, including investigating Problem Reports, implementing and testing software fixes, integrating solutions back into the system, and supporting customer requirements throughout the software development lifecycle. This individual will develop object-oriented C++ and Java applications in a Linux environment, prepare technical documentation, collaborate within a small agile team, and contribute to mission-critical Department of the Navy modernization programs.


This is a Temp to possible Perm position that is required to be fully on site.


Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• 1+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering.
• 1+ years of professional C++ development experience.
• Experience developing object-oriented software applications.
• Experience working within a Linux development environment.
• Java programming experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret Clearance.
