Territory Business Manager - Flooring Distribution

Columbus, OH Territory 

Salary:
Full-commissioned role with a draw ($100K, with ~$200 total compensation) with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid vacation, holidays, and sick days; profit-sharing bonus plan; retirement/401k; and an employee stock ownership plan.

Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Business Manager to oversee an assigned sales territory, drive revenue growth through existing account management, and aggressively pursue new commercial and residential business opportunities. This role requires a proactive sales approach, strong relationship-building skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of an assigned sales territory, including account development, retention, and growth
• Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and trade partners
• Assist customers with product selection, specifications, and order fulfillment
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences
• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and provide regular sales reporting
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and product knowledge
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proven ability to develop new business and grow existing accounts
• Strong understanding of customer service excellence
• Self-starter with high motivation and accountability, able to work independently
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Teams, SharePoint, and CRM systems
• Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel within the assigned territory
• Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of commercial sales and/or specification sales experience
• Experience in B2B sales environments
• Ability to manage complex pricing structures and large product catalogs
• Flooring industry experience strongly preferred
