What You'll Be Doing Lead the coordination and execution of all technical activities throughout the lifecycle of a sales opportunity, e.g. technical discovery, negotiation of technical success criteria, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations. Work independently, results-oriented, across teams and organizations. As a credible hands-on expert in the customer\'s application, work with customers to better understand their product development requirements and what they need to improve their performance metrics. Address application-specific design and simulation requirements by utilizing the relevant product technologies and platforms that best meet the customer\'s needs. Internalize the value proposition and convince the customer of the compelling reasons to use Synopsys tools. Support the development of differentiating simulation solutions using the Synopsys platform and our products; implement our Synopsys solutions into your customers\' design workflows. Expand your expertise and become a recognized expert in your field of application. Collaborate with Product Development to translate customer requirements into new product features; participate in the testing of new Ansys product releases, develop application best practices. Support the Field and Digital Marketing team by developing promotional materials and supporting events, author conference presentations. Contribute to and lead professional service deliveries and conduct training classes. What You'll Need Required education and degree type: BS or MS or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related field Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+5, MS+3, or PhD+0 Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages Subject matter expert in one or more relevant disciplines within Synopsys\' business and is/will be sought out for advice by other Synopsys engineers Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English Strong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgency Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time Two years of hands‑on experience in FEA modeling using commercial CAE tools like Ansys Mechanical/LSDyna Strong fundamentals in structural mechanics and continuum mechanics Basic understanding of AI/ML algorithms Scripting experience in python/C++ Knowledge of Hi-Tech/electronic packaging applications Who You Are Excellent communicator – able to convey technical information clearly and concisely Collaborative team player who thrives in diverse, inclusive environments Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in dynamic settings Customer-focused, with a commitment to delivering outstanding service and solutions Proactive learner, open to new technologies and approaches Empathetic and supportive, ready to mentor and guide others The Team You’ll Be A Part Of You\'ll join a highly skilled Applications Engineering team specializing in communications technology.
