Job Title: Sales Promotion and Pricing Analyst

Job Description

The Sales Promotion and Pricing Analyst will manage and maintain all sales promotion and pricing data for assigned customers. This role focuses on calculating and distributing price lists and customer rebates, entering and updating promotional information in internal systems, and supporting sales and finance teams with pricing-related analysis. The position offers the opportunity to grow into a broader pricing and analytics role within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Calculate, prepare, and distribute accurate price lists for assigned customers.

• Ensure pricing for all products is correct and consistently reflected on customer pricing lists.

• Calculate, prepare, and distribute customer rebates, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company objectives.

• Enter customer promotions into the order-to-cash system in a timely and accurate manner.

• Maintain and update pricing models to reflect current market conditions, product costs, and promotional structures.

• Work directly with customers and internal departments to resolve questions or concerns related to pricing, providing a high level of customer service.

• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to support basic analytical reporting, including volume, pricing, and ad hoc sales analysis.

• Collect and analyze customer insights related to pricing to support data-driven decision making.

• Apply understanding of product costing principles to interpret and explain price changes.

• Help communicate and maintain process controls across departments, ensuring required signatures are captured, rebates are reviewed according to audit schedules, and customer agreements are properly maintained.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 1+ years of work experience in a relevant role, or completion of a credible internship with 0+ years of additional experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP functions and Pivot Tables.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling pricing and financial data.

• Ability to perform pricing analysis and basic accounting-related tasks.

• Comfort using Microsoft Office applications for reporting and communication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with pricing models or sales promotion data.

• Exposure to or understanding of product costing principles.

• Ability to perform analytical reporting related to volume, pricing, and sales trends.

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret customer insights.

• Effective communication skills for collaborating with sales, finance, and other internal teams.

• Customer service orientation when addressing pricing inquiries and resolving issues.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days remote each week. Office days are Tuesday and Wednesday plus one additional day of the employee’s choice. The office is located in the West End and the pricing team consists of approximately eight people. The team operates in a friendly environment where colleagues collaborate closely, check in with each other personally and professionally, and participate in team outings, lunches, and events. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis Park, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
