Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Special Education Teacher – Resource (Grades 4–6)
Location : Prescott, AZ

Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated  Special Education Teacher to support students in grades 4–6 within a resource classroom setting. This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering specialized instruction, collaborating with general education staff, and supporting students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction through small-group resource classroom instruction at the grade level
• Support students with disabilities including Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), Other Health Impairments (OHI), Speech/Language Impairments (SLI), and behavioral needs
• Push into general education classrooms to provide accommodations, instructional support, and student assistance
• Collaborate with grade-level teachers through planning meetings and ongoing communication
• Participate in Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), including providing Tier 3 instruction to individual students and small groups
• Support students who may or may not have IEPs within Tier 3 interventions
• Develop, implement, and maintain IEP documentation and compliance paperwork
• Facilitate and participate in IEP meetings with families and school team members
• Collaborate with school psychologists during student evaluations and eligibility processes
• Partner with related service providers and educational staff to support student success
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative school environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education certification/licensure (or ability to obtain)
• Experience supporting elementary or middle school students preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development, special education compliance, and instructional accommodations
• Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills
