Job Title Room Inspector Location Oak Grove, KY 42262, USA Property Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel Gaming Hotel Pay Range Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN. Job Summary The Room Inspector oversees housekeeping staff, such as making room assignments, directing housekeeping staff’s performance, and evaluating housekeepers’ performance. The role also involves inspecting rooms after cleaning, training new hires, handling lost and found inquiries, and communicating with front desk and housekeeping staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Open the housekeeping office daily and create room assignments if required Inspect hotel rooms after they have been cleaned by room attendants to ensure they meet established standards Train new hires to meet cleanliness expectations Handle lost and found inquiries Effectively communicate with Front Desk and Housekeeping staff members Oversee housekeeping staff, including making room assignments, directing performance, and evaluating housekeepers Recommend counseling and potential disciplinary action for housekeeping personnel Submit facility work orders for needed repairs Assist housekeepers if short‑handed Assist in cleaning rooms if short‑handed Promote outstanding customer relations Other duties as assigned Required Skills and Abilities Maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all Team Members and the public Excellent verbal and written communication skills Willingness to assume overall responsibility for the performance of the position Detail oriented, professional attitude, strong organization and time management skills, and be customer-focused Availability to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent Previous housekeeping experience preferred; must be able to multi-task and take direction Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license Physical Requirements & Working Conditions The employee is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
