Quality Technician

Quality Technician IPratt Miller is looking for a qualified candidate for Quality Technician I to perform inspections, reverse engineering, and other metrology operations in support of programs from prototype through low-volume production in an ISO 9001 certified engineering and manufacturing environment. The Quality Technician will work with the manufacturing and engineering teams to provide the data needed to support their job functions and the ability to learn essential functions or skills with guidance from colleagues. Candidates with the right skills and attitude may receive on-the-job training to support their success in the role.Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Dimensional inspection of parts to engineering drawings and/or CAD modelsCreate, compile and maintain inspection records and other required documentationExamine incoming parts and documentation to confirm correct specifications are metPart numbering and traceabilityNon-destructive testing of parts (Magnaflux and Zyglo)Communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and writtenProficient with Windows based computers and MS software such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and WordAble to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environmentMinimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent required0-3 years of work experience in manufacturing or other relevant experienceExperienced with basic hand measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and height gauges.Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing processesAbility to read basic blueprintsBasic understanding of metrology best practices and gage handlingPosition requires occasional moderate physical activityMoving and maneuvering heavy objects may be required at times7:30 AM start time, Monday-Friday40-hour standard work week with overtime paid as worked when requiredMust be flexible with schedule to accommodate fixed deadlines, sometimes working longer hours, Saturdays, and/or SundaysCombination of quality lab and manufacturing areasPeriodic travel may be required between local facilitiesStress may occur periodicallyIn addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, the ideal candidate must possess all the following:Being a team playerSelf-motivated with the ability to manage own workload to meet deadlinesBe reliable (with reliable mode of transportation)Have great attention to detailStrong work ethic and pride in their workWillingness to learn
