Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Position Details Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Location: Delano, CA Hours: 40 per week Schedule: Thursday‑Monday, 5:45 am–2:15 pm (6 months; orientation 2 weeks, flexible) Pay: $50 / hr as traveler (gross $2,000 / week) or $44 / hr as local (gross $1,760 / week) Qualifications Valid California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing license. Minimum one year of experience as a licensed professional. Responsibilities Organize, provide, and maintain healthcare services consistent with CCHCS policies and procedures. Conduct basic hygiene and nursing care, including administration of prescribed medications and therapeutic treatments. Collect patient status information and report findings to the Primary Care Provider (PCP) or RN promptly. Provide patient/youth education and document care accurately in the approved format, carrying out physician orders. Administer or assist with therapeutic measures and treatments. Clean and maintain equipment. Obtain specimens for diagnostic testing as ordered. Assist the RN and PCP with clinic appointments (e.g., physical exams, minor surgeries, casting, identifying minor illnesses). Assist mental health professionals with treatment planning and formal evaluation of patient/youth progress by monitoring and recording observed behavior. Participate in training patients/youth in activities of daily living and assist with routine treatments. Document nursing care, treatments, and patient/youth response to facilitate continuity of care and communication with other providers. #J-18808-Ljbffr
