Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), SUD Treatment Center

Job Address: 4102 Shore Drive Indianapolis, IN 46254 The Role The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for patient care and the direction of the treatment team for all cases assigned. The NP oversees daily rounding, treatment team meetings, and provides consultation as needed. The nurse practitioner actively participates as a leader within the organization and engages in committee meetings to provide medical guidance. Job Responsibilities Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory agencies. Ensure timely rounds for all admissions, discharges, and complex patients with accurate documentation to demonstrate the reason and outcome of sessions. Provide individualized care for all patients based on symptoms, needs, and evaluation in accordance with the agreed upon treatment plan. Attend and at times lead MEC, P&T, Quality, and UR committees within the facilities. Attend treatment team at minimum 3 times a week, or daily as needed based on program and patient load. Complete billing for services and time spent on patient care daily. Bill facility and/or clock in and out daily to document time spent on duties outside of patient care. Collaborate with other medical staff on maintaining a high level of service and quality medical care. May provide regular oversight to allied health professionals within the organization. Provide on‑call coverage as needed and assist with the development and approval of medical coverage calendars. Express ideas effectively in individual, public, and group situations and work collaboratively to find solutions. Model competence, enthusiasm, and commitment to quality. Respond (within 15‑30 minutes) to the nursing team and admissions team when calling for orders or medical consultation. Train other providers as needed. Complete monthly to quarterly FPPE/OPPEs as assigned. Participate and engage as needed in regulatory survey activity, business development growth, and program expansion. Communicate in person, via Telehealth, and telephone as required. Participate as needed in probate, guardianship, forced medication, and other legal hearings, providing second opinions as requested by providers, courts, or patients. Job Requirements Certification as F‑NP (Family Nurse Practitioner). Previous experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting desirable. Working knowledge of the addiction and recovery field and experience in clinical practice. Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. Communication with organization or comparable entities preferred. Valid driver’s license. Must provide proof of insurance (as needed), complete credentialing and background checks, supply references, and participate in necessary documentation and billing software audits as required by position type.
