Medical Records Tech

Alliance Health Center is looking for a PRN-as needed Medical Records Tech. This is not a remote position. Under the direction of the HIM director, this employee is responsible for performing discharge analysis of each discharge, identification of deficiencies, release of information and general medical record functions. Performs all duties within the department to ensure the success of the HIM team and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications include a degree in medical records coding, medical records technology/assistant or related field or equivalent experience, preferred. Minimum of one years experience in medical records preferred. Strong organizational and computer skills a must. Ability to work in a confidential manner and observe all rules of HIPAA. Must enjoy working with the public and possess excellent communication skills.
