Corrosion Engineer

Duties Vision Point Systems, Inc. is currently recruiting for a talented, innovative Corrosion Engineer. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Laboratory test plan development and execution. Field investigation. Data analysis. Technical writing. Maintain individual project schedule. Identify topics for new projects. Write white papers/proposals for projects. Meet with customers/sponsors to communicate and review new project ideas and solicit feedback. Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or other similar engineering degree from an accredited university or college. Demonstrated professional writing and presentation skills along with an excellent ability to collaborate with a team. Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. 3+ years of applicable experience. Must be willing to work in Bethesda, MD; Olney, MD; and Fairfax, VA. Time spent will be primarily in Bethesda and Olney, but will on occasion require time in Fairfax. Desired Skills Experience working with and supporting US Navy and/or US Marine Corps programs. Technical expertise in materials science/engineering (especially corrosion and coatings), electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and military vehicle/ship platforms. Experience with data analysis and statistics.
