Registered Nurse (RN), PT Day Shift, PACU

Job Overview Shady Grove Medical Center seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities Educate patients and families through the continuum of care while striving to advance their knowledge and skills through feedback and guidance from senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager. Serve as a role model to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care. Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to ANA standards of practice, and exemplify Adventist HealthCare values while fulfilling the nursing mission and vision. Use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non‑nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Develop a plan of care tailored to the patient population. Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action. Mentor students, colleagues and team members in patient‑centered care. Conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective. Perform efficient literature searches and apply findings appropriately to practice. Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in practice changes based on evidence. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Passing NCLEX score. Minimum 1 year of RN experience; PACU or Critical Care experience strongly preferred. Current Maryland State nursing license. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification. Work Schedule Part‑time: 20 hours per week, 4 days per week from 11:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.; day shift. On‑call status per company policy. Compensation Pay Range: $37.00 – $55.00 per hour.
