Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital providing both General Practice and Emergency services and is currently hiring a Medical Director Veterinarian. The hospital sees small animal cases, and while an interest in exotics, avian, or pocket pets is welcome, it is not required.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open 24 hours due to providing both General Practice and Emergency services. The Medical Director role offers daytime General Practice hours and is very flexible to the needs of the doctor. This is a full-time position only.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Medical Director Veterinarian will be responsible for overseeing the hospital and, while primarily working daytime hours, may be required to see Emergency cases at times. This role is open to experienced veterinarians only.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with an ultrasound machine, cold laser, digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, laparoscopy, a CT machine, in-house laboratories, and electronic medical records. Services offered include all those associated with a General Practice hospital, in addition to acupuncture and laparoscopy.

Team
The team consists of six DVMs supported by a well-tenured support staff, maintaining at least a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, supporting a collaborative and well-supported working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
