Location Morenci operations are located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191. The open‑pit copper mining complex has been in continuous operation since 1939 and includes two concentrators, a crushed‑ore leach pad, a low‑grade run‑of‑mine leaching system, four SX plants, and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode. Responsibilities Under general supervision, you will supervise, coordinate, and control the safe and efficient operation of an assigned work unit. You will assign, supervise, and review the work of staff, implement production plans according to the approved schedule, perform daily operational duties, inspect and evaluate work in progress, identify problem areas, direct remedial action, conduct performance evaluations on subordinate staff, prepare staffing and material estimates, maintain an inventory of parts and materials, approve purchases, maintain time‑material‑equipment use reports, requisition tools and supplies, train staff in safety procedures, and maintain safety data sheets for crews. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or GED AND five (5) years of related operational experience including supervisory or lead experience Bachelor’s degree in a technical mining related discipline with at least one summer internship experience (or equivalent) working in a mining or industrial environment including supervisory or lead experience Preferred Qualifications Experience with overhead cranes Experience with instrumentation including REXA valves, flow meters, and pressure transmitters Rectifier experience Knowledge of electrical safety (NFPA 70E) Salary & Benefits The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $93,000 - $127,500 annually. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits, or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job‑related factors. The role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
