The Steward plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and overall hygiene standards within hospitality and food service environments. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of health and safety regulations related to food service.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in food safety or sanitation.
• Prior experience in a cleaning or stewarding role within a hospitality or food service environment 
• Experience using commercial kitchen cleaning equipment and chemicals.
• Familiarity with waste management and recycling procedures.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen and service staff.
• Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic in previous roles.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas according to established health and safety standards.
• Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables in compliance with environmental guidelines.
• Assist kitchen staff by ensuring that supplies such as dishes, glassware, and cutlery are cleaned and readily available.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and other surfaces in food preparation and dining areas.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Support inventory management by notifying supervisors when cleaning supplies or kitchen materials need replenishment.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to hygiene, safety, and operational standards.
