POSITION SUMMARY

A Dave’s Fresh Marketplace Receiver is responsible for receiving orders, ensuring order and invoice accuracy. In order to protect Dave’s Fresh Marketplace products and assets, Receivers are also tasked with examining orders for damages, defects, and incorrect quantities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

One (1) year grocery experience required Must be 18 years of age or older

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: When on the sales floor, ensuring that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment – includes greeting and acknowledging customers, smiling, making eye contact, and all other components of customer service Receives product deliveries, ensuring order and invoice accuracy Verifies the temperature of delivery trucks and received products Checking shipments for damaged products, out-of-date products, and/or out-of-temperature products Returning damaged items for credits Maintaining an awareness of all product knowledge information and advertisements Assisting with receiving, unloading, stocking, organizing, and rotating product Assists in building displays Ordering product per Grocery Manager’s request/instruction Maintains organized back-stock areas Cleans shelves, work area, floors, freezers, and coolers as directed Completes all cleaning tasks as required Maintains clear communication with Department and Store Management, as well as Corporate Grocery Personnel Ability to train onboarding Receivers and Grocery Clerks Strict adherence to Food Safety & Sanitation procedures Adherence to department-specific dress code policy Follows all safety practices and procedures Adhering to all Dave’s Fresh Marketplace policies, procedures, and practices including signing, pricing, and loss prevention Performing other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Proper handling of equipment such as compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, hand trucks, boxcutters, etc. Willingness to collaborate and work in a team environment Ability to provide/receive constructive feedback Ability to follow directions Ability to work productively and stay organized Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized Reliable and dependable; able to work a flexible schedule – including Saturdays Ability to self-motivate and stay on task without constant supervision
