Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and school system policies and procedures. Ability to gain respect and cooperation of students, parents, administrative officials and others; to maintain discipline; to attend training in the proceducres of working with students with special needs. REPORTS TO: Director of Transportation and Bus Driver SUPERVISES: Helps supervise students on the bus JOB OVERVIEW: Under close supervision, monitor the conduct of students between pick-up points and school, maintain order, and adhere to safety rules and aide with transportation of students with special needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Monitors the conduct of students between pick-up points and school. Aids the students with special needs upon entering and exiting the school bus. Reports all discipline problems to the school bus driver. Enforces regulations against smoking and eating on the bus. Performs other duties as assigned. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 174 days on contract WORK ENVIRONMENT: School Bus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This position requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and lifting. EVALUATION: In accordance with Board Policy and appropriate procedural regualtions. The Superintendent or designee will be responsible for completing the evaluation. SALARY RANGE: Is based on the EPS Support Negotiated Contract Scale. BENEFITS: In accordance with EPS Support Negotiated Contract.
