Assist patients ranging from post-surgical to near-terminal in managing their disease and treatment effectively; may also be responsible for administering chemotherapy. Educate cancer patients about treatment options, procedures, and particularities of the disease. Administer chemotherapy and implement new methods of symptom treatment, monitoring patient progress. Create a supportive environment and may specialize in pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.
