Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Reports To: The Laboratory Technician reports directly to the Laboratory Manager, with dotted-line reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM).

A Laboratory Technician (Tech) is a bench chemistry associate whose main responsibility is to perform routine operations within a laboratory setting. This includes preparing reagents, cleaning glassware, organizing and sorting of analysis for the purposes of improving laboratory workflow. responsible for following all documented procedures, recording all laboratory notes, and elevating technical issues to the laboratory manager.

Ensure that all samples received by the laboratory are logged in according to Maintain a clean and organized lab space * Prepare reagents at the direction of the Laboratory Manager * Perform a specific analysis, or portion of analysis, at the direction of the Laboratory Manager * Report non-conformances to the QAM and Laboratory Manager

General familiarity with laboratory safety. Previous laboratory experience Intermediate skill level (or above) in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. * science preferred.
