Say Thank you – Express genuine appreciation for effort, feedback, and collaboration. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works directly with vendors requesting invoice copies as needed. Works with internal departments to obtain required approvals and resolve invoice discrepancies. Reviews invoices for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate supporting documentation prior to processing. Performs accounts payable duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and internal controls. Reviews accounts and data for accuracy. Resolves vendor invoice inquires verbally, in writing or other communication as needed. Supports accounting department staff as needed. Adheres to all customer care standards. Actively cares and advocates safety at Western States. Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards. Serves as a team member in support of Western States’ strategic programs, projects, and initiatives. Work within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficient in the use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required. Ability to learn enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). 1 year minimum of general accounting experience, preferred. Knowledge of accounting software preferred. ERP software experience preferred Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English). PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS: Ability to stand for long periods of time along with walking, sitting, repetitive climbing stairs, reaching (including but not limited to above-shoulder reaching), repetitive bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting.
