Identify students perceived as at‑risk, serve as a source of support, act as an advocate when appropriate, and make referrals to vital on‑ and off‑campus resources such as career and personal counseling. Collaborate closely with Academic Services and the Office of the Registrar to provide students with accurate information on course options, degree pathways, and university policies. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge regarding university academic policies, administrative procedures, catalog updates, advising technology, and graduation requirements. Gather, develop, and promote advising best practices to support continuous institutional and departmental improvement. Participate in individual, team, and committee professional development, and serve on ENMU committees as designated or requested. Regular and predictable attendance required.
