AM MedTech/Resident Aide

Job Overview Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Resident Aides to provide care to our residents in Rochester Hills, MI. Residents will assist with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. No licenses or certifications are required. Experience passing medications is a requirement and the candidate must be comfortable working alone. Responsibilities Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc. Providing companionship and emotional support to clients. Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment, which may include light housekeeping. Reporting any changes in the resident’s condition to the supervisor. Communicating professionally with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead. Complying with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures. Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Requirements Must be 18 years old. High school diploma or GED. Able to pass a criminal background check. Experience working with the elderly. Able to lift 50 pounds. Every other weekend is required. Reliable transportation. Valid driver’s license or ID. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to arrive on time for every shift. Schedule This is a part-time position. Resident Aides will be scheduled to work 8-hour shifts. Every other weekend is a requirement. Pay Hourly starting pay is $16.00 per hour with room for growth. Benefits Room for growth. Daily pay: access your pay when you need. Paid time off.
