Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development, Hematology Oncology

Job Overview

Senior Medical Director, Clinical Development responsible for all clinical deliverables within the assigned section of a clinical program in Hematology Oncology. Provides clinical leadership with minimal supervision from Program Lead MD. Supports development of regulatory documents, medical information, clinical communications, and publications.

Location & Work Model

Locations: Tarrytown, NY or Warren, NJ. Work model: 4 days on-site a week. Travel: ~10% to congresses/conferences.

Responsibilities

• Manage operational aspects and drive execution of clinical programs in partnership with global line functions, Clinical Scientist, and Clinical Operations associates to ensure timely execution of deliverables within approved budget.
• Lead interactions with external stakeholders (regulatory authorities, key opinion leaders, advisory boards, patient advocacy groups) and internal stakeholders (Research, Early Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Marketing, HE&OR).
• Ensure overall safety of the compound in collaboration with the Safety Lead.
• Contribute to case report forms, outsourcing specifications, data monitoring and validation plans, and analysis plans for all trials.
• Lead development of clinical sections of program-level regulatory documents such as Investigators’ Brochures, briefing books, safety updates, IND/NDA submission documents, and responses to Health Authority questions with minimal input from Program Lead MD.

Qualifications

• M.D. degree, preferably with clinical training in a relevant disease area.
• More than 4 years of demonstrated experience in clinical research or drug development in an industry environment spanning Phases 1 through 4.
• Deep understanding of global regulatory environment and approval processes.
• Strong knowledge of operational aspects of all phases of clinical trial conduct (startup, conduct, close‑out).
• People management experience preferred but not required.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary range: $333,300.00 – $450,900.00 annually.
