Agape of Appleton, a nonprofit human services agency, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (also known as Caregivers) to join our team. With a starting wage of $16–$20.60 per hour (based on experience and position placement), you'll have the chance to create meaningful, lasting connections while supporting adults with differing abilities in a dynamic, 8-bed coed residential home. (The nursing home and assisted living feel in a smaller setting.)Now hosting weekly open interviews in Appleton on Thursdays from 9am to 3pm CT.About the Role This isn't just a job—it's a chance to build genuine relationships with residents who are fun, sweet, and express themselves in unique ways. In our fast-paced, accessible home, you will provide critical daily support, help individuals live fuller lives, and thrive in a task-oriented environment. Experience with durable medical equipment is a plus, but we offer paid training to ensure you are fully confident and prepared.Assist residents with daily living activities, including meal preparation, bathing, toileting, and transportation.Support residents in expressing their preferences and needs, honoring their choices and promoting self-determination.Help create a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for everyone.Take residents on daily outings and help them engage with their community.RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age.A valid driver's license for resident transportation.Physical and mental capability to assist residents based on their specific needs.A strong passion for helping others.Previous experience is great, but a kind heart and a willingness to learn are what matter most.
