RN Manager - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Baylor Scott & White Health in Waxahachie is seeking an experienced RN ICU Manager to lead our growing 18?bed Mixed ICU at a Magnet®?recognized hospital. This is a unique opportunity to join a low?turnover, high?performing team during an exciting period of facility expansion and program growth , including our journey toward Level III Trauma designation . Position Overview The RN Manager is responsible for the leadership and operational oversight of the ICU, ensuring exceptional patient care, strong staff engagement, and continued program development. This role partners closely with executive leadership, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to support clinical excellence and future growth. Schedule & Status Status: Full-Time Shift: Days About the ICU 18-bed Mixed ICU 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio Team size: Approximately 45-50 employees Diverse, high-acuity patient population Expanding service lines including: Neuro ICU growth STEMI receiving capability Expanding pulmonary procedures and services Responsibilities You are crucial as Manager of Nursing Registered Nurse 1 in creating a supportive, healthy space for staff. Your responsibilities include promoting top-tier nursing practices and ensuring a nurturing environment. You play a key role in planning, policy formation, resource allocation, and improvement efforts. Designing educational programs and providing nursing care is also essential. Shape the future of nursing practice in your specific area. Make sure your team stays updated with practice standards. Advocate for the use of evidence-based practices and research. Cultivate a compassionate space for both patients and staff. Uphold the highest standards of service. Execute the succession plan in your department.
