Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) PRN Weekends

About QCC Deep commitment to patient care Strong communication from leadership Advocacy and support from administration Team‑member wellness initiatives Transformative healthcare that benefits communities Cooperative and supportive team culture Nursing Responsibilities Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients by providing the following: Administer medications Perform medical intakes and assess if patient is fit for incarceration, as needed Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when needed Check and/or change medical dressings as required by the medical provider Perform 14-day physicals Manage chronic care Provide patient education on health concerns Respond to medical emergencies, including life‑saving measures and leading in emergencies Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including medication reactions, overdose, formulary/non‑formulary medications, and medication costs Provide insight and direction to Medically Trained Personnel, as needed Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations Location Johnson County Jail Shift Opening(s) 6AM‑6PM or 6PM‑6AM PRN weekends with opportunity to pick up shifts outside of weekends if desired.
