Job Title: Interventional Radiology RN / Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology RN
Location: Cape May, NJ
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | Monday - Friday
Shift Options: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM | 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Work Environment: No weekends, no holidays, no nights, and no on-call

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology RN to join a dynamic procedural team. This role focuses on providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after minimally invasive procedures, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN looking for consistent weekday hours and a procedural-focused environment without the demands of call or weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedural nursing care for interventional radiology and/or cardiovascular procedures
Assist physicians during minimally invasive procedures , ensuring sterile technique and patient safety
Perform patient assessments , monitor vital signs, and respond to changes in condition
Manage IV access, including PICC line placement and care
Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and post-care instructions
Administer medications and sedation per protocol and physician orders
Monitor post-operative recovery , especially for later cases (noting that the 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM shift may require occasional extended hours)
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient workflow and quality patient care

Schedule & Work Environment

Monday - Friday only (37.5 hours/week)
No weekends, holidays, nights, or on-call requirements
Multiple shift options available for work-life balance
Occasional extended hours may be required for later procedures (primarily on the 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM shift)

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
PICC line placement experience (REQUIRED)
Experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with moderate sedation and procedural nursing
Background in acute care, ICU, or procedural settings
Strong communication and patient education skills
