Details Level I Trauma academic teaching hospital with 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics Nursing team consists of 75% RNs and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists, with RNs trained to both scrub and circulate Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 6:30am-7:00pm On-call required, up to 4 call shifts every 4 weeks Weekend requirement of up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks Floating required within scope to meet facility needs between like units/sister facilities Uses EPIC for charting Requirements Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required BLS certification required Radiation badge required (provided by agency) 2 years of OR experience strongly preferred Scrub experience strongly preferred Level I Trauma center experience required Additional Information Magnet designated, nurse-driven department utilizing cutting-edge surgical technology Scrubs provided by facility Required to work at least one holiday period, either Christmas (Dec 24-26) or New Year's (Dec 31-Jan 1) First-time travelers accepted Previous permanent or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis Radius requirement of 60 miles for travel pay eligibility Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November, with peak activity in August and September) American Traveler Job ID P-769073.
