# Dispatch LeadOakland, CA 94607## OverviewSalary Range$71,000.00 - $77,000.00 SalaryJob ShiftDayTravel PercentageNone## Description**Job Summary**We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dispatch Lead to oversee daily dispatch operations in a fast-paced third-party logistics (3PL) environment. This role is responsible for coordinating the movement of goods, supervising dispatch personnel, ensuring accurate scheduling, and driving on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent problem-solving abilities, a customer-focused mindset, and a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and compliance.**Key Responsibilities*** Lead and oversee daily dispatch operations to ensure efficient workflow, accurate scheduling, and timely deliveries.* Supervise, mentor, and train dispatch team members to maintain high performance and adherence to company procedures.* Monitor delivery schedules and proactively address delays, route changes, and operational exceptions.* Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery status, scheduling updates, and issue resolution.* Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to optimize routes, maximize fleet utilization, and reduce transportation costs.* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.* Investigate and resolve delivery issues, damaged shipments, customer concerns, and service disruptions.* Maintain accurate dispatch records, schedules, operational data, and performance metrics.* Prepare reports and provide operational updates to management.* Identify opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency, productivity, and service quality.* Support continuous improvement initiatives that help reduce costs and improve operational performance.* Perform other duties as assigned.## Qualifications**Qualifications*** High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transportation, or a related field preferred.* Minimum of 3 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, preferably within a 3PL environment; previous leadership or team lead experience is a plus.* Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics operations, including experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and ERP platforms.* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.* Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.* Ability to analyze operational data, identify trends, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in both office and warehouse environments as needed.* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, overtime, or other schedules based on business and operational requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
