ABOUT THE ROLE Best Brands is seeking a Director of IT who operates at the intersection of systems and operations. You’ll directly oversee a growing IT department with ability to develop a functional team. This role is a Sr. Doer role that will own the full technology stack powering our import supply chain — from hardware and network infrastructure to ERP configuration and EDI connectivity, as well as 3PL integrations, BI reporting, and workflow automation. You don't wait to be told – you identify the gap, build the fix, and document it. You can hold a technical conversation with a developer and a business conversation with a VP in the same afternoon, and you treat EDI rejections and data anomalies like puzzles rather than problems. You've lived the importer calendar — CRDs, ship windows, DC compliance, and the cost of a missed ASN — and you build systems that outlast your involvement. You will also be the internal authority on ERP owning data integrity, process flags, user configuration, and diagnostic troubleshooting — while also leading the build-out of our BI and forecasting infrastructure. The right candidate is self-directed, thrives in a fast-moving importer environment, and can translate technical complexity into operational clarity for cross-functional stakeholders. WHAT YOU’LL OWN IT Infrastructure Own and maintain company-wide IT infrastructure — servers, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments — ensuring uptime, scalability, and security across all sites and the 3PL/warehouse footprint. Manage LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, and connectivity to support ERP, EDI, and warehouse operations, including reliable links to 3PL partners. Establish and enforce network security, access controls, backup/disaster recovery, and business continuity policies to protect data and minimize downtime. Oversee vendor and ISP relationships, hardware/software procurement, and infrastructure budgeting, while planning capacity for growth across retail accounts. ERP Management (Cold Lion) Serve as the internal subject matter expert and system owner for ERP. Manage system configuration, workflow controls, and automation triggers, user permissions, and system settings. Lead diagnostics and root-cause analysis on data issues, workflow failures, and integration errors. Partner with IT to scope and execute system upgrades, patches, and new module rollouts. Build and maintain documentation for all ERP processes and configurations. EDI & Integrations Own end-to-end EDI operations — including 850, 856 ASN, 810, and 940/945 transaction sets. Troubleshoot and resolve EDI rejections, mapping errors, and trading partner compliance issues. Manage API integrations between Cold Lion, 3PLs, retail portals, and BI tools. Drive automation initiatives that eliminate manual touchpoints in daily workflows. 3PL Partner Management Serve as the primary systems liaison to multi-site 3PLs. Own WMS connectivity, inbound/outbound data flows, and inventory reconciliation between ERP and 3PL. Support onboarding and migration activities — including current Geodis-to-Westmark transition. Drive escalations and system-level issue resolution directly with 3PL IT and operations teams. Reporting, BI & Forecasting Lead the design and build of BI infrastructure using ERP as the primary data source and steering development partners. Own rolling operating forecast (ROF) tooling and data pipelines from ERP to reporting layer. Build and maintain dashboards and reports for supply chain KPIs, inventory, fulfillment, and vendor performance. Evaluate and implement AI-assisted tools to improve forecast accuracy and operational decision-making. Daily Operations & Workflow Support daily importer workflows: PO management, ASN generation, inbound tracking, and inventory receipts. Act as a cross-functional resource for operations, procurement, and logistics teams on system-related issues. Build and enforce SOPs for ERP data entry, EDI submission, and 3PL communication protocols. WHAT TO BRING Required 8-12 years of experience in IT infrastructure, ERP administration, supply chain systems, EDI, and IT operations in an import/wholesale environment. IT systems and infrastructure experts with ability to maintain on-premises and cloud-based environments. Microsoft O365 systems’ architecture and application management are a must. ERP management experience in an import supply chain context is needed – Cold Lion or comparable ERP experience is helpful. Hands-on EDI experience — transaction-level fluency with 850, 856, 860, 810, 940, 945 and trading partner onboarding. Direct experience working with 3PL partners on WMS integration, inventory sync, and data reconciliation. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills — comfortable reading logs, tracing data flows, and owning resolutions end-to-end. Experience building and managing ERP standard reporting and BI reporting tools connected to ERP data sources. Demonstrated ability to work directly with IT, external vendors, managed services, and non-technical stakeholders — without a layer of management in between. Preferred Cold Lion ERP experience (or comparable WMS/ERP in an import supply chain context). Familiarity with 3PL, WMS, TMS operating environments. Experience with EDI/API development or management (REST/JSON). Exposure to AI/ML/LLM tooling applied to forecasting, demand planning, or workflow automation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
