Draft pleadings, financial affidavits, discovery, and settlement documents. Communicate regularly with clients—answering questions, gathering information, and helping them feel supported. Manage and organize case files, court filings, and scheduling. Help prepare for mediations, depositions, and court hearings. Track deadlines, billable time, and assist with billing. Coordinate with courts and opposing counsel. Qualifications 1–5 years of paralegal or high‑level legal assistant experience (family law preferred). Strong knowledge of Maine family court procedures. Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills. Comfort managing multiple active cases with competing deadlines. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and legal software (Clio is a plus). A calm, compassionate, and professional demeanor—especially when clients are navigating tough situations.
