Landscape Lighting Installer – Austin & Central Texas

The Perfect Light is looking for an experienced and dependable Landscape Lighting Installer to join our Central Texas team.

For more than 25 years, The Perfect Light has provided professional outdoor lighting across Texas. Our landscape lighting team installs and services low-voltage lighting for homes and businesses.

This is a great fit for someone with experience in landscape lighting, irrigation, landscaping, low-voltage work, electrical work, or construction.

What You’ll Do

• Install, repair, and service low-voltage landscape lighting.
• Install uplights, pathway lights, spotlights, well lights, and other fixtures.
• Run, bury, splice, and hide low-voltage wires.
• Install and replace transformers, timers, photocells, bulbs, fixtures, and connectors.
• Find and fix lighting and wiring problems.
• Aim and adjust lights to properly light trees, homes, walkways, patios, and landscaping.
• Test systems and make final adjustments.
• Keep the work area clean and neat.
• Communicate with our Area Manager about job progress, materials, and any problems in the field.

What You Need

This is a 1099 position. You must provide and maintain your own:

• Reliable truck that can pull 6x10 utility trailer
• Crewmembers/helpers
• Basic hand and power tools needed for the job.
• Safety gear and other equipment needed for the work.

You should:

• Prefer working outside.
• Be able to perform digging and trenching.
• Be able to use basic hand and power tools.
• Be able to work around existing landscaping.
• Have the ability to troubleshoot low-voltage lighting systems.

Experience in landscape lighting, irrigation, landscaping, low-voltage electrical work, or a similar trade is strongly preferred.

You should be dependable, show up when you say you will, communicate well, pay attention to detail, and take pride in doing clean, professional work.

Experience finding and fixing problems with existing low-voltage lighting systems is a big plus.

The amount of work will depend on customer demand, your availability, and your performance. Strong candidates will be considered for other opportunities.
