MSS Multicraft Technician

Position Summary Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, has an immediate opening for a Multi-craft Technician in its Machine Shop in Villa Rica, Georgia. This position reports to the Machine Support Services Supervisor. The shop schedule is Monday‑Friday 6:00am‑2:30pm with flexible hours for travel. Key Responsibilities Maintain the successful operation of production machines according to priority. Use a systematic approach to solve problems through analysis and evaluation of alternate solutions. Demonstrate knowledge of technical skills including machine shop practices, welding, fabrication, minor electrical skills, plumbing skills, computer skills, troubleshooting, reading a micrometer, drill press operation, and interpreting diagrams. Follow mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic layouts. Track job time, document parts and repairs completed. Perform preventive maintenance, Lock‑Out/Tag‑Out procedures, and communicate actions to operators or leads. Perform any other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Proficiency in using manual and power tools. Ability to troubleshoot/repair mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic problems. Basic fabrication and machining skills. Use of precision measuring devices (micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, pie tape, etc.). Self‑motivated and self‑directed. Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings. Operated forklift or high‑lift forklift. Prioritise tasks and projects. Check fuses, wire motors and repair lighting issues. Repair plumbing issues and add additional piping as required. Pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Willing to travel up to 25% and obtain a passport. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. Willing to respond outside normal business hours for emergency calls. Effective verbal and written communication. Interact courteously and professionally on the job site. Always work in a safe manner and follow all safety guidelines. Preferred Experience MIG and TIG welding proficiency. Machinery installation and demolition. Machine alignment.
