Job Summary:

The Manager of Academic Program Compliance oversees academic program approval processes supporting faculty, department chairs, deans through the process and liaises with Student Records, Financial Aid, Advising, and Marketing to prepare updates to the catalog, website, and other materials. The position serves as the primary contact and subject matter expert for program approval processes to ensure compliance with Colorado Community College System (CCCS), state, and federal agencies and works with the Accreditation Liaison Officer to maintain compliance with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). The position manages Perkins Grant implementation supporting Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs as well as CTE compliance reporting. The position also supports other academic program compliance reporting including, but not limited to, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) reporting and Statewide Articulation Reciprocity Agreement reporting. The position reports to the Dean of Academic Operations and Compliance.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Serves as subject matter expert in academic approval processes.
• Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports and communicate with others.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with varying levels of college staff, external agencies and organizations, and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to make timely decisions, to write effectively, and to provide quality customer service.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in administration or instruction related emphasis OR equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
• Two years of demonstrated administrative experience in a higher education institution/setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in higher education administration or instruction related emphasis.
• Experience with Career and Technical Education programs.
• Experience working with academic compliance processes at an institution of higher education.
• Membership in or experience working in diverse communities and supporting the success of students and staff from racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented in the College
• Experience with grant development or administration.

Physical & Cognitive Demands

The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.

Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs.

This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.

The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary

Starting salary range for this position is $60,417 - $66,459 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
