Under supervision of the Supervisor of Building Trades (SBT), the Plumber I in the Facilities Management Division (FMD) Central Services, performs preventative, new/renovation maintenance and repair of work of plumbing systems, provides journeyman-level work concerns related to water, gas, sewage, fire control and troubleshooting of plumbing systems to ensure compliance in accordance with principals and guidelines of the Department of General Services (DGS).

This position requires participation in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Employer Pull Notice Program.

This position may require travel.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship by the start date of employment. The Department of General Services does not participate in E-Verify for employment authorization purposes.

Special Requirements

Failure to indicate issue and expiration dates will result in disqualification. Resumes or other documents cannot substitute the STD 678 (State Application). Applicants who fail to submit a completed STD 678 (State Application) may be disqualified. Only the most qualified candidates will be invited to an interview.
