Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse position available in Carmichael, California. This role involves working in a busy emergency department with a focus on providing high-quality acute care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position is scheduled for night shifts, starting at 6:45 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Carmichael, California

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, starting at 6:45 PM, with at least 36 hours guaranteed per week
• Required Qualifications: Current TNCC license, at least two years of experience working in an emergency department, Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neurocritical Care Society (NCC), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), EMR: Cerner, license to submit
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a Level II trauma center, ability to read and interpret EKG strips, willingness to rotate with core staff, flexibility to float to other Sacramento facilities
• Additional Information: Unit is a primary trauma center for the area, managing standard emergency department patients and psychiatric holds with security if needed. Floor-specific orientation includes 1-2 days with a preceptor. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Self-scheduling is available, and schedules are released 4 weeks in advance.
• Float: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare.
