Become a Voice of Change in the Heart of Texas – Elevate Lives as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine a career that empowers communication and fosters connections — both profound and lasting. As a Speech Language Pathologist in one of Texas's most dynamic communities, you'll take on the vital role of addressing communication and swallowing disorders. Your expertise will not only unlock the potential of your patients but also restore their confidence, helping forge connections from the first words of a child to the regained independence of an older adult.
This is your chance to work with a diverse range of individuals throughout their lives, engaging in an exciting clinical setting that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient care. Whether your passion lies in assisting children with speech development, helping adults overcome neurogenic communication hurdles, or supporting seniors in cognitive rehabilitation, you will find plenty of opportunities for professional satisfaction in a flexible environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients across all age groups, utilizing both standardized tools and observational methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that reflect individual short-term and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions targeting various facets including communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing challenges.
- Engage in collaborative teamwork with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop unified care approaches.
- Provide relevant education to families to enhance patient progress beyond the clinical environment.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure smooth continuity of care.
- Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner in compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- Remain updated on the latest research and advancements in speech-language pathology via continuing education and peer interactions.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to achieve ASHA certification.
Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) accredited by ASHA.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of your start date.
Essential Skills
- Deep familiarity with evidence-based therapies suitable for all ages, encompassing both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication abilities to engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Capacity to customize therapy methods that respect and respond to diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong clinical reasoning and adept problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation practices.
What We Offer
- Competitive pay reflective of your experience.
- Flexible work hours to promote work-life harmony and a variety of patient cases.
- Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neurology, or geriatric care.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
- Comprehensive insurance options including medical, dental, vision, and life coverage.
- Support for continuing education and professional growth initiatives.
- A collaborative workspace emphasizing quality care and lifelong learning.
A Meaningful Career Awaits
In this position, you're not just offering therapy; you're contributing to a mission that prioritizes communication restoration, connection strengthening, and the joy of understanding one another through the simplest gestures: listening and speaking. You'll work in tandem with dedicated colleagues who consider each other family, in an environment that champions collaboration over competition. Every patient has a unique narrative; we trust you with the key to help unfold their story.
Discover the Joy of Living and Working in this Vibrant Region

Surrounded by the picturesque landscapes of the Hill Country and traversed by the waterfalls of the Colorado River, you will discover a sanctuary for those who cherish striking a balance between nature's wonders and enriching experiences.
Families convene in lush parks for delightful music events and leisurely picnics, while outdoor enthusiasts take to the limestone trails, enjoy kayaking on spring-fed rivers, or engage in weekend explorations of local wineries and farmers' markets. Culinary lovers will delight in the wide array of offerings, from delightful street tacos to sophisticated creations by James Beard-nominated chefs.

For those building their careers, the perks stretch beyond lifestyle: an absence of state income tax, manageable living costs, and a thriving healthcare landscape make this region a fertile ground for professional growth.
Whether you are a fresh graduate or a seasoned specialist seeking new horizons, this community has the room for you to flourish, both in your career and personal life.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist who is motivated not just by results, but by compassion. You are the kind of individual who sees potential in every silenced voice, who perceives determination in the struggles of a stroke survivor.
Whether you specialize in pediatric therapies and are eager to expand into adult services or are a neurology-focused clinician keen to embrace early intervention, we are interested in your unique skills and perspective.
If you're passionate about making an impact and ready to contribute with skill and heart, we invite you to join us.
Let's Collaborate on Communication
If you resonate with the notion that communication extends beyond mere sounds, and that therapy involves much more than tasks — if you understand the importance of trust-building before addressing goals, and can appreciate the harmony of humor with language — this could very well be the enriching chapter of your career.
Join us in a community that cherishes communication, connection, and the courage to start anew. Apply today and bring your voice to our dedicated team — together, we can help others find theirs.
