Tort Liability Specialist Transportation

Responsibilities Legal Research: Research formal and informal discovery requests tied to tort litigation Information Coordination: Coordinate responses to tort related and Right-To-Know requests across district units Evidence Gathering: Collect statements, reports, and photographic documentation to support case files File Management: Maintain organized case files and potential files with accurate supporting materials Court Support: Assist in trial preparation and provide testimony when required Work Schedule and Additional Information Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home part-time, up to 2 days per week after completion of the probationary period. A securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania are required. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,971 (before taxes). Qualifications Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Five years of investigative legal work in gathering and organizing legal documentation for use in a court of law; Two years of paralegal experience and a certificate from an accredited paralegal school; An equivalent combination of experience and training.
