Inside the Role The Driver Experience Customer Domain develops HMI platforms for our Daimler Truck vehicle products for our global brands and markets. We provide innovative HMI solutions to our customers and their drivers. We are seeking a highly motivated Software Architect and Debugger for one of our HMI ECUs. Being part of our global development team, you will contribute defining our software architecture as well as root causing software bugs. We Take Care of Our Team Position offers a starting salary range of $117,000 - $150,000 USD Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience. What You Drive at DTNA Design and document software architecture and concepts for technical and non-technical requirements Ensure scalability and efficiency of our software Ensure usage of our software in our global products Align CI/CD toolchain with internal and external stakeholders Research solutions and best practices within and outside the automotive industry Debugging of functional and non-functional issues Provide resolutions for issues Coordinate globally, internal and external stakeholders incl. supplier Organize software development process across the entire driver experience domain Coach and mentor team members and colleagues on all aspects of development - from methodologies to execution Create documentation, reports, presentations Knowledge You Should Bring Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related field, and 5-7 years in software development, is required Expertise in software development and embedded software development using agile methods Experience with Android, Kanzi, Matlab/Simulink Experience in service oriented architectures Experience with identifying and solving the root cause of complex problems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills Detail oriented, reliable, and self-motivated Strong skills in communication and team coordination across global teams (considering different cultural backgrounds) especially with the US, Germany, and India Ability to work in an environment of ambiguity and ongoing change Positive and collaborative attitude An attached resume is required Exceptional Candidates Might Have Experience: several years in Daimler Truck HMI Software Development Experience with Daimler Truck development processes for HMI platforms Experience in Engineering of Daimler Truck products Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s): Portland, OR US.
